The Life of Fatimah al-Zahra (RA): Daughter of the Prophet

Fatimah bint Muhammad (RA), known as Al-Zahra (the Luminous) and Sayyidat Nisa al-Alamin (Leader of the Women of the Worlds), was the youngest and most beloved daughter of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). **Birth and Childhood** Fatimah (RA) was born in Makkah approximately five years before the first Quranic revelation. She grew up witnessing the persecution of early Muslims and experienced hardship alongside her father. **The Mantle Incident** In a celebrated Hadith of Mubahala, the Prophet wrapped Ali, Fatimah, Hasan, and Husayn (RA) under his mantle and prayed for them, declaring them his Ahlul Bayt (household). **Marriage to Ali (RA)** Fatimah (RA) married Ali ibn Abi Talib (RA), the Prophet's cousin. Their simple wedding, described in hadith literature, reflects the Islamic values of humility over extravagance. **Daily Life** Fatimah (RA) lived in poverty by choice, grinding grain by hand until her hands blistered.
